Perspective: Opening to Possibility
The way you see the world influences the possibilities you can recognize. When fear and worry take over, your attention narrows. You become focused on what could go wrong…
What needs fixing and what you’re not able to do right now. What you don’t yet know, and what resource you don’t have at this moment. It becomes difficult to see beyond the problem in front of you.
When you’re in survival mode, even the life you’re working toward can feel just out of reach. You begin to procrastinate on the things that move you closer to your goals. Sometimes finding yourself doom scrolling to self soothe. Instead of taking action on that thing you know you really want to do.
But what if the next step isn’t about trying harder to find an answer? If you don’t have all the information… Maybe it’s more about relaxing and starting with what you currently have. Where you are at right now. Focusing on what you can manage. Not what you can’t.
Fear has a way of trying to convince you that you can’t have the life you really want. When you slow down and allow your nervous system to settle, you create space for new perspectives to emerge.
You begin to loosen your grip on the need to control every outcome. You recognize that you don’t have to know everything before you begin. You don’t have to know all the right people… And you definitely don’t have to be a millionaire.
In fact better results often emerge when we are able to allow ourselves to get creative with what we have. The results often become something that others want to repeat. Asking you how you did this.
“Everything we see is a perspective, not a truth.”
-Marcus Aurelius-
The right idea comes when you stop searching so desperately for it. A conversation introduces a new possibility. A person you just reconnected with opens a door…
Not because you worried the solution into existence. But, because you became more available to recognize it.
You put down the things you have no business managing right now, so that you have the space to see the answers as they appear.
You can begin right where you are. With what you already have. Taking the steps you can see right in front of you.
Allows time for new ideas and situations to present themselves. Using the knowledge available to you now. As you move forward, you gain experiences that you didn’t have before.
Discovering new information. Sometimes meeting the right people, with resources that you don’t have. You begin to recognize all the possibilities that weren’t visible before. Sometimes relaxing into your situation gives you the space you need to see that.
You don’t have to overcome every fear before you take action. You can learn to meet your fear with curiosity rather than letting it make your decisions for you… Talking yourself out of everything before you even try.
Just try something now. If you don’t like it, you can always change things later. Allow yourself to make mistakes. That’s how we master things. Rebuilding the trust you have for yourself.
Perspective is a fine art print, recalling that your current circumstances are not the limit of what is possible.
When you release the pressure to have everything figured out. You create room for your awareness, creativity, and confidence to grow.
Sometimes, the clarity you’re looking for begins with the willingness to see what comes next.
